Chtěl bych upozornit na to, že pohled na nošení burek, nikábů a dalších nemůže být takhle jednostranný. Z našeho pohledu se tahle praktika skutečně může jevit jako diskriminace žen, které jsou nuceny zahalovat se, přestože nechtějí, ale je třeba si uvědomit, že většina muslimek se zahalovat chce, protože vlasy, tvář apod. považuje za intimní části svého těla. Takže z jejich pohledu je naše snaha tyhle pokrývky zakázat stejná, jako by pro západní ženy byla snaha zakázat dejme tomu horní díl plavek. Tedy tvrzení "Musíme zakázat burky a nikáby, protože chudinky muslimky jsou nuceny se takhle hrozně zahalovat." je značně podobné tvrzení "Musíme zakázat horní díl plavek, protože chudinky evropské ženy jsou nuceny se takhle hrozně zahalovat." Ne, většina muslimek se zahaluje ze své vlastní vůle, nemusí jim to nikdo přímo nakazovat (samozřejmě ten důvod, proč se chtějí zahalovat, spočívá ve výchově a ve vlivu prostředí, kdyby vyrůstaly mimo islámský svět, tak se nezahalují), stejně jako evropské ženy nosí horní díl plavek také zcela dobrovolně (a naše zákony jim to dokonce přikazují, podobně jako v islámských zemích přikazují tamější zákony zahalování žen). Samozřejmě ale souhlasím s tím, že pokud se nějaká muslimská žena nechce zahalovat, tak by neměla mít tu povinnost. A samozřejmě nehájím postoj islámu k ženám v ostatních oblastech (řízení aut a velké množství dalších věcí). Jenom jsem chtěl upozornit na to, že se na islám nemůžeme dívat čistě z jednoho úhlu pohledu. Co se týče neexistence mírumilovného islámu, tak s tím již nesouhlasím zásadně, protože muslimů je na světě zhruba 1 miliarda. Kdyby všichni muslimové brali všechny súry Koránu a další islámské náboženské texty jako naprostou a objektivní pravdu, tak už západní společnost dávno neexistuje bez ohledu na to, co děláme. Podobně tak, kdyby všichni křesťané brali všechny části Bible jako naprostou a objektivní pravdu, tak už Česká republika dávno neexistuje (neboť by byla zničena někdy během 17. křížové výpravy cílené proti nevěřícím :D). Většina náboženství má ve svých svatých textech sekce, které jsou neslučitelné se současnou civilizací, záleží ale jenom na konkrétních věřících, jestli tyto oddíly budou hlásat jako pravdu a prosazovat jejich znění, nebo jestli je budou tiše ignorovat. Většina věřících je rozumná a ty části, které nabádají k nenávisti a k násilí neberou v potaz. Samozřejmě se však najdou i tací, kteří tyto části berou stejně vážně jako mírumilovné pasáže (nebo vážněji). A v dnešní době je náboženstvím s nejvyšším procentem takovýchto věřících zrovna islám. (Ale i křesťanství mělo své radikálnější období - ve středověku.) Příčina existence takovýchto radikálních věřících však netkví v samotném náboženství, to je pouze jakýsi katalyzátor, spouštěč, záminka. Příčinou je frustrace a hněv věřících, kteří se snaží pomstít za nějaké reálné či domnělé křivdy a hledají opodstatnění svého agrese v něčem, co je jim dobře známé - např. právě v náboženství. Příčinami současného rozvoje islámského radikalismu je nedomyšlené rozdělení Blízkého východu po 1. světové válce, poté ještě více nedomyšlená snaha západních zemí toto rozdělení řešit vojensky a nakonec úplně nejvíc nedomyšlená snaha západních zemí řešit problémy vzešlé z těchto dvou zmíněných příčin opět (jak jinak než) vojensky (samozřejmě značný vliv hrají také rozpory a konflikty mezi samotnými islámskými státy a pravděpodobně i obnovení Izraele a následná anexe Palestiny).

This maybe-a-religion is at most deist, not a theist, therefore one could say atheist or nontheist. Many eastern philosophies work as such. The reason I use things like more-or-less-religion is because in Czech we call it "náboženství", which is built around a root which means a god, but that is commonly understood as the theist one, and using nontheistic religions (netheistická náboženství) brings nothing but confusion. You have to understand that Islam is first and foremost a spiritual tradition, it is metaphysically oriented. What it did was teach society how to condition and re-frame their worldview in a way where men and women are seen as equals in terms of human value. And that translated into having social rights, but it also took into account context.
The first thing you need to differentiate between are rules and principles (teachings). For example, you mention that the Qu'ran states that a woman's inheritance is half of mans. Is that a rule or a principle? It's a rule. But is a rule a principle? No. If its not a principle, it means its not universal. It means that there is a context to it, that there are conditions. So now if you want to quote the Qur'an or hadith, in terms of describing a rule, then you have to understand the conditions for that rule. It's a great form of ignorance to not do that, and you end up misconstruing what the Qur'an actually says. So the conditions ultimately have to do with the premise that the woman is a dependent, that the man will be the one looking after her and the extended family, so he has a lot more people to spend on whereas the woman is only obligated to look after herself.
About testimony. The verse does not say a woman's testimony is half a man's. It's not even talking about giving testimony in court. It's talking about "taking" of evidence, as in recording, evidence of testimony. Those are two very different things. And the context of that verse is a situation that was not normal (such as travel), and where men would intimidate women, so there is a context of patriarchy. In this patriarchal context, two men recording evidence and testimony, could protect each other under pressure than a woman by herself. It does not mean or have anything to do with women being less intelligent. Jurists understand also that this is not something that is applied across the board. Hadith is considered the single greatest testimony in Islam, since it is the means through which traditions were passed. And who passed them? It was primarily women, women who gave single testimony.
Men can have up to four wives and a woman can only have up to one, that is true. But its not a rule, it's not encouraged, and again, it's highly contextual, especially in a patriarchal context where having more than one wife was fairly normal. There are rules and conditions around it, such as the taking care of orphans.
The hadith about women being less intelligent is a bad translation and a lot of people highly misunderstand it. It actually had nothing to do with intelligence, and was something that was specifically a playful interaction between the Prophet and those specific women. Basically, to use a very crude yet modern way of describing it, he was flirting with those women and they were flirting back. Now folks who go in with a certain cognitive frame will read it and assume that he's insulting these high ranking women. Have you ever joked around with your girlfriend through teasing? Now imagine if someone read what you had said, and interpreted your teasing of her in a negative and verbally abusive way. That's basically what you're doing, and what all of these untrained (mainly young white men) are doing. There is too much entitlement in your view of the world. Step back and realize that you have to put in real time and energy. Don't desire fame.

I think it is a fair claim to say that Islam was a positive force for gender equality. Most teachers in Islamic societies actually were women. I think it was al-Razi, a famous theologian, but he said that among women narrators of hadith, there is not one false hadith, whereas with men there are many. We've seen female judges. But at the same time, there is a tendency in society for patriarchy to construct a power-dynamic where men have a higher position. And I think in Muslim society where patriarchy is out of control, it just represents this tendency in an unhindered way. And it tends to be unhindered when society becomes destabilized by war and civil strife. So if you want to understand the state of gender equality in these countries, you have to look at the historical context of each country.
I think that your arguments are highly flawed and lack true premises. Both from the perspective of Islamic doctrine but also from a society perspective. Every intifada or skirmish is met with more and more restrictions, which only increase the disdain for Israel between civilian Palestinians and humanitarian workers. In the name of anti-terrorism, Israel became the next South Africa. Both were British colonies. It must be noted that the governments and warmongering leaders are to blame, again, not ordinary people, who just want to live and get by, but aren't let. And it's the disdain for statism in general which people should develop, not just for the enemy state or enemy's attempt at a state. Thusly, my proposed solution to this is a Canna'ite federation, consisting of Gaza as Palestine or Philistinia, West Bank as Cisjordan, Israel as itself including Golan heights, and federal capital of New Jerusalem. Truly separate "judenrein" Palestine is only possible with Gaza, there are too many settlements in West Bank, which provide employment opportunities, but the moment they are left alone there will be a large enough mob to cause another Kristallnacht. To clear some terminology up: West Bank is occupied, Gaza is blockaded or besieged, East Jerusalem and Golan Heights are annexed. There are separation structures in West Bank not dissimilar to apartheid. There is no apartheid in other parts of Israstine. There is a "kaste" system for Palestinians: Gazans, West Bankers, East Jerusalemans and Israeli Arabs. The latter somehow survived decades of military rule and are now full fledged Israeli citizens with parties in Knesset representing them, comprising the 21% Arab minority. East Jerusalemans and probably Golaners can become Israeli Arabs if they choose so. West Bankers are subject to the apartheid and Gazans have to cram onto a small phallus-shaped coastal strip of land with Hamas and other jihadists. Gaza is however not a large open-air prison (North Korea since covid lockdown is) nor a concentration camp, more like a ghetto, which is still ironic. Population density is similar to Hong Kong, but more evenly spread out, nowhere near Kowloon Walled City, that would require Israel not to periodically bomb the shit out of it. It's common for West Bankers to have work visas to Israel proper, having to pass through multiple checkpoints daily. Work visas for Gazans are rarer, and they have been abused to gather intelligence. As for apartheid, some colored South Africans are starting to become nostalgic, as the social unequality and security gets worse and albeit unjust order disintegrates into chaos, similar to East European tankies. ECONOMY, BUDDHISM, AND COMMUNISM
These 3 terms could describe DINAR more easily than all this crap above. They may seem like they don't go together or it may evoke modern mainland China. But communism is anarchy by definition, and People's China is a statist hell. If we remove the state as a way to fix perceived flaws of classical free market models, everything simplifies. So many economic schools quarrel about what state should do, when in fact it should be nothing more than another economic subject. If your marginal utility doesn't cross zero (meaning your total utility doesn't have a maximum), your life will always be suffering. By mentally adjusting all your MUs for each economic good to cross zero at the lowest possible x coordinate you are in fact going on 1 part of the 8fold path. Usually economics is full of infinite growth and 2% inflation mantra, but economists are (hopefully) beginning to learn from Japanese stagnation, where there is no room left to increase consumption, for the bodies of Japanese, and ours alike, are finite. Sometimes marketers are struggling to create additional demand. Eventually the marginal cost of it becomes so high it won't be worth the salary to have a marketing department separate from public relations. Buddhism can help making that happen. Another aspect of achieving post-scarcity is converting economic goods into free goods, so that they are no longer scarce. By that I don't mean stealing citizen's money via taxes and providing substandard services, but producing excessive quantities on-demand and so cheaply the price approaches zero. Artificial scarcity perpetrated as a part of a marketing strategy should be considered a dirty practice, comparable to abusing monopolies. Theoretical economic models optimize allocation, but not distribution. The wealth always ends up in some billionaire's offshore account. The billionaires have made possible such technology that allows to implement a finally working redistribution system that thinks for itself, ideally hooked to recycling centers. Some rightists may suggest a global exchange trade instead, but when most stuff is plain junk people are trying to get rid off, this isn't going to really displace already established online bazaars like Craigslist.
I see the conventional economics as a mere way of achieving utopian wealth, where its rules will lose applicability because there would be excess of increasingly more commodities, especially those needed for nourishment of our mind containers and interfaces. Not as an ideology that should be kept alive no matter the (marginal) costs. It's just like Newtonian physics, which doesn't work when things get too small or too big, or Euclidean geometry, which doesn't work when the space is bent.
